My goal as a game developer is to create worlds that players can place themselves inside of. Games make for an excellent escape for any person, old or young. I've always found that the games I fell in love with the most were the ones that were unique and allowed player expression, even if it were in a very unconventional way. Games like "Sky: Children of Light" have been eye-opening to me in the ways that games as a media can be used to connect and form bonds with other people whether it be through wordless interactions between shadowy figures, as is the case with Sky, or through conventional voice chat and more.
I'd like to use the countless inspirations that I've run into in my life to create something that helps bring that magical feeling of a wholly novel and undiscovered environment to other people. Commercial success has hardly ever interested me, as I view games more as interactive stories than anything else. Sacrificing quality for extra money would mean sacrificing a project that I'd been proud of, a tragedy I hope to never be a part of.
I've started this account as part of my University's game design class, but I hope to continue this until long after my time as a student is over, as I've always loved every bit of what goes into making a game.
